Korean films may have got the world’s attention when Parasite picked up four Oscars (Best Motion Picture of the Year, Best Achievement in Directing, Best Original Screenplay and Best International Feature Film). But Hindi cinema’s obsession with Korean films is far more seasoned and covers the gamut from crime thrillers to romantic dramas. The most recent remake is the Netflix film Dhamaka which is the official remake of the 2014 Korean thriller The Terror Live. Lately, K-Dramas may be considered a popular favourite among many in India but Bollywood has already remade films such as Oldboy (Zinda), My Wife Is A Gangster (Singh is Bling), I Saw The Devil (Ek Villain) and The Chaser (Murder 2).
