Radhe Shyam: Pooja Hedge on her chemistry with co-star Prabhas

The film, written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, was released in theatres today

Radhe Shyam marks the first on-screen collaboration of Prabhas and Pooja Hegde. But it seems that the pair’s chemistry was not affected by the fact in the least. The actress recently opened up about working with the Baahubali star.

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Hegde talked about how most people had a general idea that Prabhas was a shy person. But when it came to his close-knit group of friends, the actor was outgoing and cheerful. Hegde believed that this aspect of Prabhas’ personality helped them in making the ‘magic’ happen on screen. “Sometimes you know someone really well but it doesn’t translate on screen, and sometimes you meet someone for the first time but it just clicks because magic happens.” she said. The actress also added that she believed that the duo’s chemistry translated well on the screen.

Hegde also talked about how she was able to share good chemistry with some of her other co-stars in different films, including Allu Arjun, Akhil Akkineni and Hrithik Roshan with whom she acted in films like Duvvada Jagannadham (2017), Most Eligible Bachelor (2021) and Mohenjo Daro (2016) respectively. She talked about how a lot of people had said she displayed good chemistry with most of her co-stars like Arjun, Akkineni and Roshan. The actress said that she had a special place in her heart for stories and had grown up watching the stars in films. This motivated her to perform well with them when they shared the screen. She believes that it is this mindset, which helped her achieve the desired result on screen.

In addition to Hegde and Prabhas, Radhe Shyam also features Bhagyashree, Krishnam Raju, Jagapathi Babu, Sachin Khedekar, Priyadarshi and Kunaal Roy Kapur.
