Actor Radikaa Sarathkumar, who was last seen in Revolver Rita, will be headlining an upcoming film titled Thaai Kizhavi. With a couple of weeks left for the release, the promotions for the film have begun already, with the first single out. Radikaa Sarathkumar, in one of her latest interviews, spoke about her camaraderie with Rajinikanth. The duo had acted in several films in the past.

Radikaa Sarathkumar on Rajinikanth: What did the Thaai Kizhavi actor say?

Radikaa Sarathkumar, in an interview with Galatta Plus, spoke about her equation with Rajinikanth. They have acted in multiple films, including Pokkiri Raja, Oorkavalan, Nallavanukku Nallavan and others. Speaking in the interview, Radikaa said how she shares a friendly equation with Rajinikanth.

“I used to bully him a lot but now I don't. A lot of his fans find it offensive that I call him Rajini and they ask why don't I call him a sir. What is their problem. But now I do. I have respect for whom he has become now. Your self-belief becomes more when you see him,” she said. Radikaa also recalled their earlier days and how they used to race on bike after late night shoots in Chennai, after wrapping up the day.

What is Thaai Kizhavi release date?

Thaai Kizhavi is slated for a theatrical release on February 20. The film is directed by debutant Sivakumar Murugesan. Touted to be a rural drama, the film revolves around Paun Thayi, an ageing, boisterous woman who lives in a village where everyone is scared and wary of her. Apart from Radikaa Sarathkumar, the film’s cast also includes Singam Puli, Arul Doss, Bala Saravanan, Munishkanth, Ilavarasu, George Maryan, Muthukumar, Raichal Rabecca and others in supporting roles. JioHotstar has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film. The editor is San Lokesh and Vivek Vijayakumar has cranked the camera. Nivas K Prasanna is the composer.
