Coolie EMS tickets priced between Rs 250 and Rs 2,000

First-day-first-show (FDFS) tickets have been flying off the shelf despite rates going up substantially. A quick check on ticket aggregator Bookmyshow revealed that ticket rates have been priced between Rs 250 and Rs 2,000 in the theatres that have opened bookings for the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial. The film recorded the fastest 10k ticket sales, arriving at that figure in only 37 minutes from 66 shows, surpassing the previous best held by KGF: Chapter 2 (45 minutes).

Multiplexes are yet to open bookings in the city, but the buzz is that it will be opened late on August 10 or latest, on August 11. All eyes are also on the distribution of shows for the Kannada-dubbed version, considering that the film stars both Real Star Upendra and Dimple Queen Rachita Ram. Rajinikanth’s Jailer had amassed a mighty Rs 50 cr+ from Karnataka, but only about Rs 5.7 cr came from the Kannada version. Will Coolie beat that record? Or better still, will it beat the record held by Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 of Rs 9.3 cr?
