Rajkummar Rao has been caught up with the promotions of his upcoming movie, Maalik. While the film has everybody elated to find out what the actor might have to offer with the role, here comes a new announcement. Rajkummar and his wife Patralekhaa have finally broken the news that they are expecting their first baby together!

Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa shared a joint announcement in which they shared that they are expecting their first baby soon. "Baby on the way," their post read. The two added their names along with the baby crib, ready to welcome the little one into their lives. After dating for a decade, Rajkummar and Patralekhaa got married on November 15, 2021. They had met on the sets of their film Citylights and are in love since. Apart from Citylights, Rajkummar and Patralekhaa had worked on Bose: Dead/Alive.

Rajkummar Rao made headlines earlier in the day for how he and Patralekhaa ensure the best for the crew as a production house. The duo. When asked about working hours, the actor told Firstpost that he and Patralekhaa would make sure that the crew would be served quality food and on time. The duo is waiting to release the Netflix original Toaster (co-starring Sanya Malhotra), but that would come out after his movie Maalik releases in theatres.

Maalik release date

Rajkummar Rao's Maalik is scheduled for theatrical release on Friday, July 11, 2025. The film co-stars Wamiqa Gabbi and Prosenjit Chatterjee in the lead roles (as his wife and the cop faced against Maalik, respectively). Saurabh Shukla, Saurabh Sachdeva, Anshuman Jha and Swanand Kirkire are also seen in pivotal roles in the film. The advance bookings for Maalik opened earlier today i.e. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The movie also features Huma Qureshi in a special song appearance.
