Rambo OTT release: Directed by Muthaiya, the film will premiere directly on SunNXT on October 10, skipping theatrical release

The trailer of the upcoming Tamil film Rambo, starring actor Arulnithi in the lead role, has been released by the makers on social media on Saturday. Skipping a theatrical release, Rambo will premiere on SunNXT and OTTplay Premium in the coming week.

Rambo is an upcoming Tamil film the trailer of which was released by the makers. The trailer begins with a scene in a kickboxing club, as we see the hero being introduced. After a series of heroic shots, we see that antagonist being introduced who is shown to go to any extent to win. The film is expected to be a mix of action and sports genre.
Unlike the usual Tamil films, Rambo will not be releasing in theatres. The makers have opted for direct-to-OTT premiere. It will stream on SunNXT on October 10. Subscribers of OTTplay Premium can watch the film using their plans.
The upcoming film is written and directed by Muthaiya. Ghibran is composing the music with RD Rajasekar as the cinematographer. Actors Tanya Ravichandran, VTV Ganesh, Abhirami, Ayesha and others are also part of the film. Rambo is touted to be a sports drama and marks the first time Muthaiya is collaborating with Arulnithi.

Apart from Rambo on SunNXT, there are more releases this week, especially on the OTT space. The ninth season of Bigg Boss Tamil is set to premiere on JioHotstar on October 5, followed by daily episodes. Vijay Sethupathi will be hosting the show. There is also ZEE5 crime thriller series titled Veduvan starring Kanna Ravi, which is set to premiere on October 10. All these titles are available to watch via OTTplay Premium.
