Rana Daggubati, who recently headlined the controversial Netflix web series in Hindi, Rana Naidu along with his uncle, star Venkatesh, is back in the news for another high profile project. He’s all set to reunite with Nuvvu Nenu, Jayam director Teja for another hard-hitting film again. This will be their second project together after the hit political drama Nene Raju Nene Mantri, that also starred Catherine Tresa, Kajal Aggarwal and others.

Rana and director Teja’s new, untitled film is set to be launched soon and will go on floors in the coming weeks. The actor-director combo promises another character that’ll be more intense and powerful than Jogendra in Nene Raju Nene Mantri. The film is touted to be a full-length action entertainer and will have many surprises in store for audiences, the team is confident.

Renowned producer Achanta Gopinadh, who bankrolled several films in the 90s and 2000s including Top Hero, Devudu, EVV Satyanarayana’s Jamba Lakidi Pamba, Rajendra Prasad starrer Iddaru Pellala Muddula Police, is backing this much-awaited collaboration. Reports suggest that a leading Malayalam star is in talks to play a crucial role in the same. More details about the cast and crew will be out shortly.

Before the release of this project, Teja will be in the news for two other projects - Ahimsa and another period romance Vikramaditya (produced by Nallamalupu Bujji) that introduces his son as an actor. Ahimsa, slated to release in theatres on June 2, also marks the acting debut of Rana Daggubati’s younger brother Abhiram (Mohan Narayan) Daggubati alongside Geethika Tiwary.

Ahimsa, produced by Kiran under Anandi Arts, also stars Sadaa, Bindu Chandramouli, Rajat Bedi, Ravi Kale, Kamal Kamaraju, Manoj Tiger, Kalpalatha, Devi Prasad and has music by RP Patnaik.
