One of Bollywood’s most popular onscreen jodis Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji have inspired many with their films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Chalte Chalte and Paheli. But it’s also true that they have not been paired together in a movie for a long time now. While after the record-shattering success of Pathaan, SRK is busy gearing up for Jawan, Rani, on the other hand, has just had a critically acclaimed release Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, which is now streaming on Netflix.

In a recent interview with Koimoi when Rani was asked whether or not she would want to be paired opposite Shah Rukh again in a romantic setting, the Mardaani actress promptly said, “Let’s manifest it. Let’s call Karan and talk to him. I think he is the only person who can make it happen!”

Adding to that, the actress said, “I think eventually every actor would love to be part of anything that excites them. So, it’s not that I am resisting or saying that it’s a ‘no’. It’s not that, but right now I have my hands full in acting and, of course, raising my daughter. So, I would like to keep the balance, which right now is going really well. And in the future, you never know what I will get inspired by.”

Back to Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway written and directed by Ashima Chibber, the legal drama film is based on true events. The plot chronicles the real-life story of an Indian couple - Sagarika Chakraborty and her husband - whose children were taken away by the Norwegian authorities in 2011. Apart from Rani, the movie also features Anirban Bhattacharya, Neena Gupta and Jim Sarbh in pivotal roles. Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway is said to be the first Indian film to be shot in Estonia.
