Dhurandhar: The Revenge to feature post-credit scene teasing Dhurandhar 3? Here's what we know

Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar: The Revenge is all set to hit cinemas on March 19, and the craze for the film is only increasing day by day. Now, a report shared an update on Dhurandhar 3.

After the blockbuster success of Dhurandhar (2025), directed by Aditya Dhar, the frenzy surrounding Dhurandhar: The Revenge (sequel) is unlike anything seen before, as advance bookings have already crossed Rs. 32 crore, with 4.7 lakh tickets sold by March 13, 2026. Ahead of its March 19 theatrical release, a report shared an update on Dhurandhar 3.

Is Dhurandhar 3 happening?

Following the blockbuster momentum of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which is on course for record-breaking opening day and weekend collections, Variety India reported that industry insiders revealed that Jio Studios has already approached Aditya Dhar to begin work on Dhurandhar 3. The studio is keen to expand the franchise into a long-term cinematic universe, although it is still uncertain whether Dhar has officially accepted the offer.

“It's a kind of subject that can be made into multiple parts. Given the phenomenon created by Dhurandhar and the unprecedented buzz around its sequel, a third part cannot be ruled out,” a trade source told the portal.

It further suggested that while Aditya Dhar has some concepts for a potential third instalment, he hasn’t made any firm commitments. Meanwhile, Jio Studios is keen to keep audience anticipation alive and has requested Dhar to add a post-credit tease in Dhurandhar 2 (The Revenge) hinting at what could come next.

Another source informed that portal that while Jio Studios may push for Dhurandhar 3, that doesn’t guarantee it will be made. Aditya prefers challenging himself with new stories rather than building a franchise. “Dhurandhar worked because it broke the usual template of the YRF Spy Universe and the popular South Indian action movies. Dhar may not want to trap himself within the very trend he challenged," it added.
