Ranveer Singh says he’s overwhelmingly grateful for his life: It’s a miracle that I even became an actor

Ranveer Singh has enthralled fans with his powerful silver screen performances for more than a decade and counting. The actor recently opened up about the overwhelming sense of gratitude he feels about the trajectory of his life and his acting career.

According to a report in The Indian Express, Ranveer believes that being an actor is enough for him, and is extremely grateful for the fact that he is one. Calling the experiences he has had over the course of his career ‘surreal’ and ‘beyond his wildest imagination’, the actor said that he felt that way even today. “I have always said that it’s a miracle that I even became an actor”, he said.

Ranveer said that he still continues to wake up in disbelief that this is his life, that he was an actor who got the chance to work with a number of skilled filmmakers. He felt an overwhelming amount of gratitude for the number of blessings and opportunities he had in life.

The actor’s impeccable performance in 83, where he essayed the role of Kapil Dev, garnered him praise from audiences and critics alike, and also earned him a string of accolades. Calling the positive responses he received for his role ‘huge’, Ranveer said that it made him miss his own coach Mr. Balvinder Singh Sandhu and the latter’s contribution to 83. Calling him the ‘heart’ of the film, the actor said that the emotion the coach attached to the film, and his team mates, really helped bring out the best in Ranveer as well. “When we, the cast of 83, saw what it meant to Ballu sir, that is what transmitted to all of us”, added the actor.

83 also starred Jiiva, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil and Dinker Sharma, among others, in pivotal roles. The film is available for streaming on Netflix.
