Rashmika Mandanna has made headlines as news has come out that she will be seen in a special role in Jr NTR-Prashanth Neel's next which has been tentatively titled Dragon.

Jr NTR is in the news as his new film, directed by Prashanth Neel, began production a few days ago. After wrapping up the first schedule, Jr NTR flew to London for a special event related to his award-winning film RRR. Once he's back in town, he will begin a grueling schedule for his next with Prashanth Neel.

Rashmika's special role in Dragon

Rukmini Vasanth has been finalized as the female lead and is already on board for the project. Now, as per the latest update, Rashmika Mandanna of Bheeshma and Pushpa 2 fame, has been roped in for a special role in the film. While she is not playing the female lead, reports suggest that she will portray a very important character. If this turns out to be true, it will mark her return to Kannada cinema after a long gap.

Tentatively titled Dragon, the film will reportedly also be made in Kannada. Rashmika, one of the top stars in the country, has been delivering back-to-back hits. If she signs on, this will also mark her first on-screen collaboration with the Temper star, Jr NTR.

Jr NTR to sport a lean look for Prashanth Neel's next

Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts are jointly producing this film, which is an out-and-out action drama. Jr NTR will be seen in a lean look for this role. However, his new avatar has raised some concerns among fans, with some speculating about health issues, rumors that are untrue.

Apart from Dragon, Jr NTR will also be seen in Ayan Mukerji's War 2, which is set to release on August 14, 2025. On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna will next be seen in a female-oriented film, The Girlfriend, directed by Rahul Ravindran. The film has completed its shoot and is currently in post-production. Produced by Allu Aravind of Magadheera fame, The Girlfriend is a social drama.

Well, we will have to wait and see if Rashmika officially comes on board for Jr NTR's next—if she does, it’s bound to be a blast.
