The trailer for Vishal’s upcoming action drama Rathnam will be dropped soon! The makers of the Hari directorial are set to release the trailer of the upcoming film on April 15 (tomorrow). “The much awaited announcement is here #Rathnam trailer from tomorrow at 5PM. Get ready for an action blast! Starring Puratchi Thalapathy @VishalKOfficial. A film by #Hari, in theatres on April 26th! (sic)”, the makers wrote on their social media pages.
Along with the announcement, the makers also unveiled a new poster from the film. which features Vishal in an intense pose, beating up his rivals. The poster suggests that the film is going to be a complete action thriller, akin to Hari’s previous films such as Singham and Saamy.
Director Hari about Rathnam’s box office numbers
Speaking to reporters, director Hari recently emphasised the importance of film promotions in the current market. “You need to inform people and give them confidence that this is a good film, only then they will come to theatres,” the director said.

Director Hari is very hopeful that the film will strike a chord with the masses. He revealed that the film will be a 'complete Hari film', which will be addressing pressing social and political issues, in the backdrop of a rural set-up.
Rathnam release date
The makers of Vishal-starrer action flick have already locked the release date as April 26. However, as per reports, it is now said that Sundar C’s Aranmanai 4 is also set to release on the same day. This means that two films of well-known directors, Sundar C and Hari, are going to clash at the box office.

Rathnam cast
Besides Vishal, Samuthirakani, who starred in the actor’s 2015 thriller flick Paayum Puli, will be seen once again with the Mark Antony star. Yogi Babu and Gautham Vasudev Menon will also play key roles in Rathnam. Devi Sri Prasad, who earlier worked with Hari on Aaru, Singam and Venghai, has scored the music for Rathnam. M Sukumar handles the camera work and TS Jay is the editor. Hari has also written the dialogues for the Tamil version of Rathnam.
