While Ravi Teja will end 2022 with the commercial entertainer Dhamaka and begin 2023 with Chiranjeevi's massy outing Waltair Veerayya, his other film, Ravanasura, is also fast gearing up for a release. Earlier this week, the makers of the courtroom drama, directed by Sudheer Varma, announced its release date. Ravanasura will storm the screens on April 7, 2023. The film has five female leads - Anu Emmanuel, Megha Akash, Faria Abdullah, Daksha Nagarkar and Pujita Ponnada.

In the film's retro-styled release date announcement poster, Ravi Teja is dapper while smoking a cigarette. For the first time in his career, the actor is cast as an advocate. Ravanasura is produced by Abhishek Nama under Abhishek Pictures and RT Teamworks. Sushanth too essays an important role in the film whose lineup includes Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Nitin Mehta (Akhanda fame), Satya and Jaya Prakash to name a few.

The team shares that the film will be high on action with several interesting twists and turns in the narrative. Srikanth Vissa has written the story, screenplay and dialogues. Harshavardhan Rameswar and Bheems are the music directors, with Vijay Kartik Kannan and Srikanth as the cinematographer and the editor respectively. DRK Kiran is the production designer. The shoot of Ravanasura commenced in January this year with Chiranjeevi attending the event as a chief guest.

Sudheer Varma, the director of Ravanasura, was in the news recently for the action comedy Saakini Daakini, headlined by Nivetha Thomas and Regina Cassandra (the film is currently streaming on Netflix). Meanwhile, Ravi Teja, apart from Dhamaka, Waltair Veerayya and Ravanasura, will also be seen in a pan-Indian film Tiger Nageswara Rao, the biopic of a notorious criminal from Stuartpuram.
