Rekhachithram, the 2025 hit Malayalam film starring actors Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan in the lead roles, is soon set to make its OTT debut. SonyLIV has bagged the theatrical rights of the film and is set to release on March 7. If you want to stream the Malayalam film in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, you can use your OTTplay Premium subscription to watch the film in the different regional languages.

Rekhachithram is a crime thriller drama, helmed by Jofin T. Chacko who has taken the script from John Manthrikal, based on a story by Ramu Sunil. Starring actors Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan in the lead roles, after its theatrical run, it will make its OTT debut on SonyLIV on March 7. The Malayalam film will be available in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi as well.

The film is set in Malakkappara in Kerala. It revolves around a cop who takes a suicide case for investigation, which leads him to a disappearance of a girl on the sets of director Bharathan's Kathodu Kathoram, released in 1985.

What do we know about Rekhachitram?

The film opened to positive reception upon its release. “The makers of Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan’s successfully sketches a near-perfect mystery thriller set in the world of cinema in the 80s and the present with a set of interesting protagonists,” reads OTTplay review of the film.

Produced by Kavya Film Company and Ann Mega Media, the film also stars Siddique, Indrans, Saikumar, Jagadish and others. An AI version of Mammootty was created for the film, to show him as part of the Kathodu Kathoram cast.

Rekhachithram has been shot by cinematographer Appu Prabhakar and Shameer Muhammed has edited the film. Mujeeb Majeed has scored the music. Watch Rekhachithram on SonyLIV and OTTplay Premium from March 7 onwards.
