After making its theatrical release in October, last year, the Kalyan Chakravarthy-directorial is now gearing up to captivate a global audience from the comfort of their homes. The Telugu drama, Rewind, is releasing on Lionsgate Play, on March 7, 2025. OTTplay Premium subscribers will be able to watch the film easily without any hassle. What's the plot of the Rewind film?

A young man, named Karthik, encounters a beautiful woman, Shanthi, in an elevator and instantly feels a strong connection with her. He instantly shows interest to know her more. He takes every possible step to make her fall for him, and interestingly, it worked, and they begin to date each other.

However, the thrilling part is that something surprising and unexpected happens that tears them apart. But Karthik desperately wants to be with Shanthi so much so that he finds a way to travel through time. He hopes by going back and changing things that happened to them. The story then becomes about whether he can actually change the past and if doing so will truly bring him the happiness he's looking for.

Sai Ronak and Amrutha Chowdary’s experience working in a science fiction genre

Last year, during the trailer launch event of Rewind, lead actors, Sai Ronak and Amrutha Chowdary shared some exciting stories about their experiences working in a science fiction genre.

While Ronak stated how they made the film with a small team and a good script. He also said that they made good content without compromising with their budget. Sai feels that it's a matter of pride that filmmaker Kalyan, being an NRI, came to India and invested money to make a film with a good story. He has high expectations from Telugu audiences that they will definitely love Rewind.

Amrutha Chowdary shared that Rewind is her first film on the big screen. Even she revealed that this is not only her first film, but also for the filmmaker, editor, and cinematographer. Hence, she expects that the audience will love to watch a unique film like Rewind.
