RIP Raju Srivastav: Kapil Sharma, PM Modi and others pay tribute to the famous comedian

The noted entertainer passed away at the age of 58.

Raju Srivastav passed away at the age of 58 after undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) due to cardiac arrest for over a month. The famous and loved comedian suffered the attack on August 10 while working out at the gym. A lot of people in the country are saddened by the news of his demise and plenty of famous personalities from the entertainment, sports and political world of India paid respect to the renowned entertainer with their social media posts.

Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma shared an emotional note on Twitter with an image of Srivastav and him sitting together on the set of The Kapil Sharma Show.

Rajpal Yadav shared a heartfelt post on the demise of his fellow colleague and wrote, "I have no words to describe this loss. You have left us all too soon. You will be missed my brother. I just can’t believe this. #RajuSrivastav #RIP (sic)."

Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi also penned a note on Twitter. The post reads, "Raju Srivastava brightened our lives with laughter, humour and positivity. He leaves us too soon but he will continue to live in the hearts of countless people thanks to his rich work over the years. His demise is saddening. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti. (Sic)."

Former president of India, Ram Nath Kovind paid respect to the actor-comedian as well and shared, "Saddened by untimely demise of mimicry king and excellent artist Raju Srivastav ji. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and fans. Om Shanti. (sic)."

Along with a lot of celebs and famous personalities, actor Ashutosh Rana paid a tribute to Srivastav as well with a unique and poetic quote. The Tweet reads, "प्रिय राजू भाई आपका जगत् में आना-होना संसार के दुःख को सुख में बदलता था लेकिन आपका जगत् से जाना परिवार के सुख को दुःख में रूपांतरित कर गया। परमात्मा आपकी आत्मा को गहन शांति प्रदान करें व परिवार को सहनशक्ति.. भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि (Sic)."
