Rukmini Vasanth to romance Venkatesh in Trivikram's next, here's what we know

Venkatesh is all set to collaborate with ace director Trivikram Srinivas for an exciting new project. The latest buzz is that Kannada star Rukmini Vasanth has been roped in as the female lead.

We at OTTplay have already revealed that Trivikram Srinivas of Ala Vaikunthapurramloo fame is all set to direct Venkatesh, who is in top form after the success of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. He was initially supposed to do a film with Allu Arjun, but since the Pushpa 2 star chose to greenlight Atlee's project, Trivikram had no choice but to move on to Venkatesh.

The project is almost confirmed, and pre-production is currently underway. We now have some interesting updates. A source close to the team revealed that the makers have approached none other than Rukmini Vasanth to play the female lead. This is a unique choice, as Rukmini has only done one Telugu film so far. However, landing a Trivikram Srinivas film is a blessing in disguise and could be a turning point in her career.

Rukmini Vasanth became a household name in Telugu cinema after the release of Sapta Sagaralu Dhaati, which was a decent hit. She will next be seen in Temper fame, Jr. NTR’s biggie with Prashanth Neel. Trivikram is known for writing strong roles for his female characters, and reports suggest he has done the same for Rukmini in this film.

Naga Vamsi to produce Venkatesh's next

Naga Vamsi of DJ Tillu fame will co-produce the film with Chinna Babu under Haarika & Hassine Creations. As of now, Venkatesh has yet to officially announce his next film and is currently gearing up to promote the second season of his hit show Rana Naidu, which streams from June 13, 2025.
