Ryan Reynolds says he will share Deadpool 3 updates 'sooner rather than later'

The third part of Deadpool was confirmed way back in 2019, but there hasn't been any update regarding the film in a long time.

The trilogy is now a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after Disney acquired 21st Century Fox in March 2019.

Emmy-winning writers Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin and Wendy Molyneux were roped in to write the script. They are best known for Fox’s Bob’s Burgers and are the creators, showrunners and executive producers of the animated sitcom The Great North.

In a chat with Collider Reynolds, who was recently seen in Free Guy and Red Notice, was asked to share an update on Deadpool 3.

Collider asked the actor whether he had plans to reunite on the superhero film with Shawn Levy, who directed him in Free Guy and the upcoming The Adam Project.

"We pretty much talk about everything, but I'll say this about that particular subject is I'll have a batch of updates on that sooner rather than later, I hope. So I'll be able to get into stuff about Deadpool a little bit more clearly and definitively down the road," said Reynolds.

Meanwhile, The Adam Project a man (Reynolds) who travels back in time to get help from his 13-year-old self. Together, they have to find their late father, who is now the same age as Reynolds' character and set things right in order to save the future. The cast includes Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana, Catherine Keener and Jennifer Garner.
