In a new interview, Aamir reacted to the same.

Is Ek Din and Saiyaara similar?

A particular scene from the Ek Din trailer caught viewers’ attention, where Sai Pallavi's character describes the day as the most beautiful of her life, only for Junaid Khan's character to reply that she will forget it tomorrow. This exchange has led many to speculate that the film could revolve around Alzheimer's disease, much like Sayara's disease.

Speaking to Variety India, Aamir Khan reacted to the comparisons and said, "No! No! Our film is completely different!”

What does Ek Din trailer showcase?

The trailer of Ek Din presents a simple, innocent and emotional love story. Set against snow-capped landscapes, the film depicts a magical romance that unfolds over the course of a single day. It is reportedly the official remake of the Thai film One Day (2016).

The trailer opens with the ‘Kismat Ki Ghanti’ (Fortune Bell), where Junaid’s character makes a wish to spend an entire day with Sai Pallavi’s character. While Junaid plays the role of an innocent lover, Sai looks confident and charming. Many viewers are calling their pairing refreshing. With the snow-capped mountains and serene winter backdrop, the picture creates a dreamy romantic atmosphere.

The trailer shows sweet, romantic moments between the two, but also hints of conflict, including a scene where Meera confronts and slaps Rohan. The trailer ends on a touching note of memories and a beautiful, fleeting, one-day love.
