Saiyaara OTT release date locked? Makers aiming at a festive streaming debut for Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda's film

Saiyaara, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, was earlier expected to be a September OTT release date. However, following a blockbuster success, the makers have reportedly changed the plan.

Saiyaara marks the debut film of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The lead actors blew away everyone's minds with the film, as it has already collected Rs. 153 crore at the box office as per Sacnilk, becoming a blockbuster. After its theatrical run, Saiyaara will land on Netflix and was earlier expected to release on OTT in September, following an 8-week successful theatrical run. But makers are now aiming for a different OTT release date.

Saiyaara OTT release date

As per Times of India, Saiyaara, which was earlier expected for a September OTT release, is now aiming for a Diwali 2025 release, following a blockbuster success in theaters.

Typically, a gap of eight weeks is normal for a film to start streaming on OTT after its theatrical release. As per the 8-week window norm, the film is expected to stream on OTT in the second week of September. But now the report suggested that the makers are in talks with Netflix to ensure a 90-day theatrical window and hence, are eyeing Diwali for the release.

If Saiyaara releases on Diwali, what about War 2 OTT release?

Meanwhile, War 2 is scheduled for an August 14 theatrical release, and as per the 8-week window norm, Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani's film should be released on OTT around Diwali 2025. But if Saiyaara releases on OTT in Diwali, we might need to wait for the War 2 OTT release update.

Saiyaara theater screens incresed from 800 to 2000

NDTV reported that following huge demand and blockbuster success, the theatre screens for Ahaan and Aneet's film were increased from 800 to 2000, and 11,000+ daily shows. With this, Saiyaara has become a trendsetter for Bollywood.

Meanwhile, Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films, follows the love story of a struggling musician, Krish Kapoor and a lyricist, Vaani Batra. They face personal struggles but explore love for each other, proving love has its own magic.
