According to Filmfare reports, Salakaar could be based on the life of Ajit Doval, one of India’s most respected intelligence officers. The 80-year-old bureaucrat has served as India’s National Security Advisor since 2014. Earlier, in the film Uri: The Surgical Strike actor Paresh Rawal played Govind Bhardwaj, the character based on Ajit Doval.
