Salman Khan jokes about Kangana Ranaut’s 'daughter' debut, clarifies nepotism stance

Sikandar has Salman Khan very occupied with promotional activities. During his Wednesday interaction with journalists at a Mumbai hotel, the superstar looked at his most relaxed and open, discussing topics ranging from the film to the controversy around nepotism in Bollywood.

Salman Khan dismisses the idea of being "self-made"

If you want Salman to talk about being a "self-made" star, he'll tell you: "Nobody in this world is self-made." That isn't something he buys into, as it's a group effort. He added that he would have been a farmer in Indore if his dad hadn't moved to Mumbai. Salman is here today because of his father Salim Khan's decision.

According to Salman, he could have gone back, but he decided to carry on his father's work instead. He travelled here to work in the film industry. He is now his son and it was up to the superstar whether to return or stay put in Mumbai. People coin new words to describe it all, like the one you all use frequently: nepotism; he loves it.

A journalist later brought up the fact that Rasha Thadani, daughter of Raveena Tandon, was breaking into the industry while discussing emerging talent. Acting taken aback, Salman realised he had mistaken Raveena for Kangana. "Kangana ki beti aa rahi hain (Kangana's daughter is coming)?" Amidst the journalists seeking clarification, Salman playfully asked, "If Kangana's daughter were to come, would she do films or join politics?" Reporters used the word "nepotism," and the actor responded that the person will have to find another job.

If one is not planning to watch Sikandar or any of the other new films this week, Salman strongly suggests they do so. Sikandar L2: Empuraan, and Jaat would be excellent to watch with generous Eid perks. The superstar hopes all three of these major stars' upcoming projects do well.

Sikandar has Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi rounding up the ensemble cast. On March 30, in celebration of Eid, the film will hit screens.
