The Malayalam film, Samshayam, which released in theatres in May, has made its OTT debut. The humorous family entertainer, featuring Vinay Forrt and Sharaf U Dheen in lead roles, is now streaming on Manorama Max.

The movie, which came out on May 16 and had a good run in theatres, received a lot of appreciation for its plot and themes. It was earlier reported that Manorama Max had acquired Samshayam's digital rights. On July 24, it started streaming on the popular Malayalam OTT website at 12 am.

Dhyan Sreenivasan's Super Zindagi and Anaswara Rajan's latest flick Vysanasametham Bandhumithradhikal will soon be viewable on the same streaming service. Asthra and Mr & Mrs Bachelor are also accessible right now on Manorama Max. Another latest Malayalam film that made its digital debut this week was Ronth. The police thriller, starring Roshan Mathew and Dileesh Pothan, is now streaming on JioHotstar and OTTplay Premium.

What is Samshayam all about?

The film centres on two couples from varying socioeconomic strata. After months of parenthood, Vimala wonders if their child is indeed theirs. This causes her husband, Manojan, to attempt to uncover the truth, which has an impact on their lives as well as the lives of Harris and Faiza, a newlywed couple dealing with their own set of problems. The aftermath that changes their lives when all of their paths cross is the central theme of the movie. According to OTTplay's review, the film presents a poignant tale about parenting and features solid performances from its key actors.

Lijomol Jose and Priyamvada portray the female leads. Rajesh Ravi, who had helmed the highly acclaimed film Biju Menon-starrer Aarkkariyam, directed this family entertainer. The director himself wrote the screenplay for the movie. Samshayam has been financed by Suraj P S, Dixon Poduthas, and Lino Philip under the banner of 1895 Studios. The movie's background music and soundtracks were composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab.
