Sandalwood Queen Ramya pens a lovely gratitude note as she completes 20 years in the industry
During these 20 years, Ramya has delivered a number of big hits such as Excuse Me, Aakash, Amrithadhare, Jothe Jotheyali, Polladhavan (Tamil), Mussanjemaatu, Vaaranam Aayiram (Tamil) and Sanju Weds Geetha.

It was on this very day 20 years ago that the Kannada Film Industry saw one of its most adored and popular talents come to the fore. We, of course, speak of actress Ramya or Divya Spandana who began her incredible acting journey on 25 April 2003 with the release of the film Abhi. Ramya would be joined by Puneeth Rajkumar in this cause and the two would go on to establish themselves as one of the most sought-after and loved on-screen couples in Kannada cinema.

Marking this very special day, Ramya took to social media to post an equally special note that captures the gratitude she feels for all the love and support she received over the years. She would thank her fans, her well-wishers and also the Dr. Rajkumar family who produced the film Abhi. In the same vein, she would also remember her dear friend and first-ever co-star Appu.

"20 years since my first film Abhi released. My heart is filled with gratitude for all the love I’ve received from my fans and well-wishers. Indebted to the Rajkumar family for the opportunity. Sending big love to everyone I have worked with. Thank you for being such an indelible part of my life.

P.s Appu will forever remain my first friend and most favourite co-star. ♥️" wrote the Uttarakaanda actress.

Ramya's social media post also includes a couple of throwback pictures from the making of Abhi. From the pictures clicked during the shooting of the Sum Sumne song at Bengaluru's St. Joseph's college to the picture she clicked with the legendary Dr. Rajkumar during the 100 Days celebration of the film, each still carries a vivid memory that she still holds very dear to her heart. The post, for obvious reasons, won the hearts of many, including a few of Ramya's colleagues such as Siddharth and Krishi Thapanda.

During these 20 years, Ramya has delivered a number of big hits such as Excuse Me Aakash, Amrithadhare, Jothe Jotheyali, Polladhavan (Tamil), Mussanjemaatu, Vaaranam Aayiram (Tamil) and Sanju Weds Geetha.
