Sankalp is now available for free on Amazon MX Player and has 10 episodes in total. Prakash Jha directs the series.
Sankalp features Nana Patekar in his OTT debut, leading a story that delves into the complex dynamics of power, ideology, and institutional control. Inspired by the ancient strategies of Chanakya and Chandragupta Maurya, the series is set in the context of contemporary Indian politics.
Nana Patekar plays Ma’at Saab, a cunning strategist who steers political power by pulling the strings within institutions rather than using brute strength. The core of the story is the ideological clash between Ma'at Saab and his former pupil (played by Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub), who becomes a powerful rival.
Veteran actor Nana Patekar shared that playing Ma’at saab allowed him to explore a new dimension.
"It’s a character layered with silence, conflict and consequences. Working again with Prakash Jha is always special because he tells stories that don’t spell everything out. They mirror the world as it is, and they stay with you. Lastly, this project becomes extra special as I mark my debut in the OTT world with Amazon MX Player and can’t wait for audiences to experience the world of Sankalp," he said.
Meanwhile, Sankalp stars Nana Patekar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Sanjay Kapoor, Neeraj Kabi, Kubra Sait, and Kranti Prakash Jha, and others.
