Sanya Malhotra doesn't have time to think. She is hopping from one film set to another as four upcoming movies are due for release in 2023.

During a recent interaction with Mid Day, the actor said that she doesn't feel the frantic pace. Sanya also said that there's no other way she would like it to be. She has always pictured herself doing something like this. The shoots follow one another, and she had psychologically equipped herself for such a life.

Sanya has Jawan in which she will co-star with Shah Rukh Khan, the Hindi remake of the highly regarded Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen (2021), Kathal, a comedy, and Sam Bahadur, a period drama. The actor considers herself fortunate to be a part of such diverse narratives.

These movies are so varied and yet have such complex narratives. Sanya got to do a few things on her wish list thanks to these projects, like work with Vicky Kaushal and Meghna Gulzar on the Sam Manekshaw biography and work with Guneet Monga again on Kathal after Pagglait.

In contrast, the actor had a mediocre year in 2022. Love Hostel starring Vikrant Massey, garnered favourable reviews, but it did not succeed in drawing viewers. Her second release, HIT: The First Case with Rajkummar Rao, too failed to generate much interest at the box office. Sanya, though, remains unperturbed and keeps bringing up topics that speak to her.

The actor only sees opportunities while making decisions; she doesn't consider the risks. Additionally, she believes that everything or nothing is mainstream today. Her path started with a unique character in the movie Dangal and what came after was a logical evolution.

Sanya is scared of comfort. In her personal life, she prefers to be laid-back, but in her professional life, she gets excited when things are difficult because she knows that's where she will develop personally. The process of growth is not pleasant as it currently stands. As an actor, Sanya is always looking to improve, and she hopes that never changes.
