Sarpatta Parambarai-fame Santhosh Prathap joins Pisaasu 2

The actor who played a wrestler Raman in Sarpatta Parambarai is now a part of Mysskin’s gothic horror sequel Pisaasu 2.

We all remember that first boxing match between Raman and Kabilan in Sarpatta Parambarai. Santhosh Prathap shined in the role of Raman, the overconfident boxer who mocks Kabilan. According to the latest reports, Santhosh has joined the cast of Pisaasu 2.

The actor took to Twitter to share a new poster of Pisaasu 2, thanking the crew for the opportunity. The actor debuted as a lead actor with the 2014 movie Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam, a Parthiepan-directorial. The actor did brief yet notable roles in Oh My Kadavule, Mr Chandramouli and a web series Kuruthi Kaalam.

Pisaasu 2 is a sequel to the 2014 release Pisaasu, directed by Mysskin. Mysskin, known for his gothic horrors and neo-noir gangster movies, has cast Andrea in the central role for the movie. A first look poster of Andrea was released several months back and was well received. Mysskin has pinned his hopes on the movie after dropping out of Vishal-starrer Thupparivaalan 2.

Mysskin has claimed that Andrea is certain to win a National Award for her performance in Pisaasu. She was last seen in Vijay’s action thriller Master as Vanathi, an archer. Andrea is also looking forward to the release of Aranmanai 3 and No Entry. She is filming for three other films - Kaa, Maaligai and Vattam.

Pisaasu 2 also boasts of a stellar cast with Poorna, Vijay Sethupathi and Ajmal Ameer. Poorna is rumoured to be playing a ghost while nothing about Vijay Sethupathi’s and Ajmal’s characters have been revealed. Ninety per cent of the shoot has been completed. An important scene in the film was shot in a deep forest in a remote area of Dindigul. The makers announced that they erected a huge set for this scene.

After the success of Psycho, Mysskin was enthused about working with Vishal again for the sequel. It wasn't long before the two clashed and Mysskin opted for the Pisaasu sequel. The movie is being produced by Rockfort Entertainment.
