More about Sarzameen

Sarzameen is directed by Student of the Year actor Kayoze Irani (Boman Irani’s real-life son) and it stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kajol, and Ibrahim Ali Khan in the lead roles. The announcement video that dropped sees Ibrahim in the role of a terrorist. The movie sees Ibrahim and Prithviraj’s face-off, for the latter plays the lead protagonist in the movie. Netizens have gone on to compare the film to Kajol and Aamir Khan’s Fanaa and called it Fanaa 2.0. The film is Kajol’s first time working with both Ibrahim as well as Prithviraj. Interestingly, the announcement comes at a time when her movie Maa (from Ajay Devgn-R Madhavan’s Shaitaan Universe) is out in theatres. Sarzameen, on the other hand, will release on JioHotstar on July 25.
