Selfiee: Akshay Kumar sets a smashing Guinness World Record for taking most selfies

Akshay Kumar is known to become the talk of the tinsel town with his ventures in the industry. Whether it's doing extraordinary stunts, giving back-to-back flops or breaking a record, the Khiladi actor's films always make headlines. During a recent promotional event for his film Selfiee, the action hero of Bollywood set a Guinness World Record by clicking 184 self-portrait photographs in three minutes.

During a recent promotional event for Selfiee, Akshay took 184 photos with his fans present at the event and bagged the Guinness World Record. He shared a small video and a few pictures of the event that sees him surrounded by his fans. He dropped the video on his official IG handle with a special caption that reads, "Everything I have achieved and where I am in life is due to the unconditional love of my fans. This is my special tribute to them, acknowledging how they have stood by me throughout my career. With the help of my fans, we have broken the Guinness World Record for Most Selfies in 3 minutes :) (sic)."

The makers have recently released a fun track titled Kudi Chamkeeli, which is created by Honey Singh and features Akshay with Diana Penty. The latest track is full of fucky and colourful montages.

The upcoming action-comedy film is directed by Raj Mehta and written by Rishabh Sharma also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha in a pivotal role with Mrunal Thakur in a special appearance.

Backed by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Supriya Menon, Karan Johar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Apoorva Mehta and Listin Stephen, the forthcoming flick also has Mahesh Thakur, Fahim Fazli, Tisca Chopra, Abhimanyu Singh, Kusha Kapila, Rahul Dev and Meghna Malik.

Selfiee is gearing up to have a theatrical release on February 24.
