The Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi starrer Selfiee is gearing up to arrive soon in theatres. The makers have released the official trailer of the comedy-thiller film, which also has Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty in pivotal roles.

The latest trailer begins by showcasing how Emraan's character is the biggest fan of Bollywood superstar Vijay Kumar, played by Akshay. The montage further explains that the actor needs a driving licence but due to his busy schedule, he is unable to make it to the RTO office.

Akshay says, "I do at least four films in a year along with two OTT movies. Meanwhile, I also get to do 28 ads and at least 17 shows as well as one or two reality shows as well."

Moving on, Emraan, who is an RTO officer tells Akshay's assistant that he get his driving license of the actor within two, meanwhile, also requests if he and his son can take a selfie with his idol. The fun and happy moments, soon turn for the worst when Akshay confronts and condemns Emraan for taking advantage of his position in the RTO office and also calls him an opportunist. Soon after that, the love turns into hate and the fan decides to take revenge for his insult to the actor.

Ahead of the release of the trailer video, Emraan shared a new poster from the film that sees him fanboying over Akshay's gigantic poster. He unveiled the image with a quirky caption that reads, "Jaisa baap, waisa beta Two generations, one common love and a story filled with drama and entertainment coming your way soon! (sic)."

The Raj Mehta directorial is backed by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Supriya Menon, Karan Johar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Apoorva Mehta and Listin Stephen.

Selfiee, which also has Mrunal Thakur in a cameo role, is slated to release in theatres on February 24.
