Selvaraghavan on working with GV Prakash in Mental Manadhil: Tough when he is producer, but a music factory when it comes to delivering songs

Selvaraghavan opened up about his upcoming film Mental Manadhil, a musical love story starring GV Prakash as actor, producer and composer

Director and actor Selvaraghavan who was last seen in crime thriller film Aaryan, has a line-up of directorial projects set to be released. Among them is Mental Manadhil. We had earlier reported that the film will be starring GV Prakash who has worked closely with Selvaraghavan in the capacity of a music composer. Recently, Selvaraghavan spoke about Mental Manadhil film.

What did Selvaraghavan say about Mental Manadhil?

It was a while ago when the makers of Mental Manadhil announced the collaboration of director Selvaraghavan and actor GV Prakash. While both of them have worked as a filmmaker-composer earlier in films like Mayakkam Enna and Aayirathil Oruvan, Mental Manadhil will star GV Prakash as the protagonist.

It is billed to be a musical love story, which will also be produced and composed by GV Prakash. Speaking about the project to Vikatan, Selvaraghavan opened up about working with the latter as actor, producer and composer. Asked if it is tough, Selvaraghavan nodded and said, "When he is also a producer, it is tough. When it comes to composer, he is like a music factory who gives songs on daily basis. Amid all this, he also has shoot every day and he keeps working. It is good for him.”

What do we know about Mental Manadhil?

Mental Manadhil features Madhuri plays the female lead. Selvarghavan said that he wanted a fresh pairing, and zeroed on the actor who had earlier played in Sivakumarin Sabadham. The technical crew consists of Arun Radhakrishnan as the cinematographer and Balaji as editor. RK Vijaimurugan as art director. A release date for the film is yet to be announced by the makers.
