According to Pinkvilla, Shah Rukh Khan has been approached for a big-budget, old-school, classic-style romantic drama. The script that suddenly came to light has left a deep impression on SRK and is now being seriously considered as his next film. This event is particularly exciting, as it opens up the possibility of SRK returning to the romantic roles that once defined his legendary career.

A source confirmed to the portal, "This isn’t a rehash of his earlier roles...it’s an age-appropriate narrative set in a more mature world of love, layered with emotional depth and drama. The film positions him as the quintessential poster boy of romance."

The source said that after starring in a series of physically demanding action films, Shah Rukh Khan is looking to step away from difficult roles due to minor injuries and the doctor's advice. The timing of this upcoming romantic drama seems perfect, as it is being said that SRK is planning to start shooting for it after the release of 'King', possibly in January or February 2027.
