Shah Rukh Khan’s latest release Pathaan has become the highest grossing Hindi film ever. The movie has managed to beat the likes of Baahubali 2’s Box Office collections. This is a huge feat for the movie since Baahubali 2 was untouchable so far.

Pathaan has done something no Bollywood movie could in the post-pandemic era. This film has seen tremendous growth in Box Office numbers, to the extent that it finally beat the pre-COVID release, Baahubali 2.

Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone-John Abraham’s film achieved the feat on Thursday, March 9, itself. The movie crossed the lifetime collection of Baahubali 2 and is still running in theatres successfully.

Baahubali 2’s lifetime Box Office collection in Hindi was Rs. 510.99 crores. Pathaan beat the movie with Rs. 0.1 crores.

Director Siddharth Anand shared the news on his Twitter account. “Crossed The Lifetime Collections Of #Baahubali2 In Hindi. Proud Moment For Me...!!! Once Again Thanks To All The Audience Who Encouraged The Film #Pathaan,” he wrote.

It took 5.5 years for Pathaan to beat the Box Office records set by Baahubali 2. Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan’s last release before Pathaan was also in 2018 (5 years back). He featured in Aanand L Rai’s Zero opposite Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

Apart from Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan has more surprises lined up for his fans. He will be seen in Jawan and Dunki, both of which are expected to release this year (2023).

As for Pathaan, the movie introduces YRF’s Spy Universe. Salman Khan made his cameo in the film as Tiger and SRK will also be seen in Tiger 3, which will also be releasing in theatres soon enough.
