Shambhala is Aadi Saikumar's comeback film and has been declared a hit. Released on December 25, 2025, the mystic thriller has completed five days of its run and has made Rs 7 crore, as per the tracking portal Sacnilk.

Though these numbers sound low, they are impressive for Aadi Saikumar’s market. He has been going through a series of flops over the last five years, and his film grossing Rs 12 crore is no mean feat. This clearly shows what kind of a hit the film is.

The makers held a press interaction, and Aadi Saikumar stated that he received a call from Allu Arjun, and the Pushpa actor wished Aadi on his comeback film. Shambhala was made on a very low budget and is a devotional thriller.

Ahead of the film's release, the makers sold the digital rights to Aha for a whopping Rs 10 crore. This put the makers in a safe zone right away, and whatever comes through theatrical revenue is just a bonus.

Shambhala was released alongside noted films like Roshan Meka's Champion and Sivaji's Dhandoraa, which earned good reviews, but their box office collections are a bit low considering their budgets.

Speaking at the press interaction, Aadi Saikumar stated that he had been waiting for one good script to come his way, and it finally happened thanks to director Ugandhar Muni. He is now being praised for the way he has narrated the film with proper thrills.

The best part of the film is that there are no deviations in the narrative, especially in the second half. The film is about an evil spirit that lands from space and creates havoc in a small village.

Aadi, a scientist, goes to the village to study the situation and soon gets engrossed in the chaos. How he saves everyone forms the basic story of the film. Archana Iyer played the female lead in the film, which also had Madhunandan in a key role.

Now that the film is holding well in theaters, it remains to be seen when the OTT release will be locked. Once the film lands on OTT, it can be streamed on OTTplay as well.
