Considering its May release, the movie did not perform well in theatres. However, it has now been confirmed that the digital rights of Shanthamee Raathriyil have been bagged by Manorama Max. The movie is expected to be accessible on the popular OTT platform in August. Anaswara Rajan's Vysanasametham Bandhumithradhikal and Dileesh Pothan's Manasa Vacha will be streaming on the same site this month.

Shanthamee Raathriyil plot and cast details

The two renowned bridges during different timeline—one under the busy London skyline in 2024, the other in the misty hills of Munnar in 1970—tell two love stories that take place decades apart. Fate creates an unexpected link between the past and present as hearts cross paths near these bridges, demonstrating that love transcends time regardless of time. While studying in the UK, the film's protagonist, a young man, explores his grandfather's forbidden love affair.

Aadujeevitham-fame K R Gokul, Esther Anil, Sidharth Bharathan, Jean Paul, Tini Tom and Kailash are playing pivotal roles in this heartfelt movie. Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri and Joy Thamalam wrote the lyrics for Shanthamee Raathriyil, while Jassie Gift composed the music. The film was produced under the New Generation Cinema label by Jayaraj, Rold Thomas, James Valiyaparambil, Sunil Zakariya, Suresh Zakariya, George Kuruvilla, Joby Jose, and Saviyo Jose.

On August 8, Jayaraj's most recent film, Mehfil, will be released. The movie is supposedly based on Kozhikode resident Mullassery Rajagopal and a Mehfil night that happened during his lifetime. Mohanlal's well-known character Mangalassery Neelakandan in Ranjith's films Devasuram and Ravanaprabhu was also based on this popular figure.
