One among them is executive director Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Namita Thapar. With her sharp wit, her penchant for encouraging women centric businesses and her witty comments, which offered viewers a lot of meme material, Namita soon became a favourite among viewers. Namita Thapar’s personal life, family, net worth and more

As she herself has stated many times on the show, Namita is an out and out Maharashtrian, and has stated her love for her hometown of Pune several times before. Born in 1977, the businesswoman is a certified chartered accountant and also has a business degree from Duke University- The Fuqua School of Business.

Namita is married to businessman Vikas Thapar. The couple have two children.

Before Emcure

She has worked in the Guidant Corporation, a US company which manufactures medical equipment and products, for almost six years. She later joined her current company Emcure Pharmaceuticals, which is headquartered in Pune, as its CFO. Namita is now the company’s executive director. Namita is also the founder of Incredible Ventures Ltd. The start up provides guidance for up and coming entrepreneurs who seek to start a business of their own.

The businesswoman has several accolades to his name, including having her name appear in Business Today’s Most Powerful Women in Business list of 2021 and The Economic Times’ 40 Under 40 list of 2018.

The entrepreneur reportedly has a net worth ranging from Rs 600-700 crores.

Namita was one of the judges of Shark Tank India in its debut season, and returns for season 2. She reportedly charges Rs 8 lakhs in fees for each episode. In season one, the businesswoman invested in almost 25 startups on the show.
