The soon to be released Sharmaji Namkeen is the late Rishi Kapoor’s last film that he shot for before his untimely passing. The movie’s first look poster, featuring the veteran actor, was unveiled by his daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni on social media today on the late actor’s 69th birth anniversary. Along with the first look image, Riddhima posted an emotional note, conveying her love and respect for her father on his birth anniversary.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni also expressed her gratitude to actor Paresh Rawal, who agreed to take on the portions of Rishi Kapoor’s character after the latter’s unfortunate demise.

Fans were excited to get a look of the late actor, who appears cheerful in the poster, clad in winter clothes, carrying a briefcase, and sporting a wide, beaming smile on his face.

Sharmaji Namkeen, is touted to be a light-hearted coming-of-age story of a 60-year-old man. Rishi Kapoor passed away last year after battling cancer. He had filmed most parts of the movie in early 2020, with the rest handled by Paresh Rawal.

Sharmaji Namkeen is bankrolled by Excel Entertainment and Macguffin Pictures and directed by the debutant filmmaker Hitesh Bhatia.
