Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada is out in the theatres and it isn’t faring so well in terms of reviews. Owing to the same, there’s very little hope that the movie will get the Box Office registers ringing. At the current rate, it might barely cross Rs. 5 crores at the Box Office.

According to a report on Ormax Media, the movie will mint Rs. 6.4 crores at the Box Office. That too is stretching it, given the current demand of the movie.

The advance booking for Kartik Aaryan-Kriti Sanon’s film is at an expected Rs. 1.50 crores net. This was because Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan fever still hasn’t died. While it was expected that Shehzada might find more bookings, that surely doesn’t appear to be the case in the current scenario.

Shehzada has introduced buy one get one ticket free. This has given the film slight advantage but given that the story itself has fallen flat, many are refusing the tempting offer too.

A lot depended on day one collections for Shehzada since that would decide the fate of the film. However, given the current rate, it sure looks like this one will be forgotten in no time.

Even if Mahashivratri does give the Box Office collection some boost, it might barely be able to touch the budget of Rs. 65 crores. That is how much Rohit Dhawan invested in the movie.

Shehzada is touted to be the Hindi remake of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. The movie, which released right before COVID-19 happened, became a huge hit. Even the Hindi audiences went to watch the movie or eventually saw it on OTT. That surely did not help Shehzada, a story which barely makes you smile, let alone make you laugh.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone-John Abraham’s Pathaan continues to be hugely successful. It might be the viewer’s choice once again on Mahashivratri.
