Shiva Rajkumar is a busy man and no prizes for guessing why. Having recently completed 37 years in the Kannada film industry as an actor, the 60-year-old superstar is currently in the thick of one of the most vibrant and exciting phases of his career with him attracting projects of all kinds. And to top things off, he recently launched his home banner of Geetha Pictures with Vedha and buoyed by the film's success, the entire production house is now in pursuit of churning out many more memorable films.

One such endeavour happens to Geetha Pictures' second production venture which comes in the form of Bhairathi Ranagal a prequel/sequel to the 2017 film Mufti which will be directed by Narthan.

While Bhairathi Ranagal is scheduled to go on floors later this year, Shiva Rajkumar has been busy shooting for other exciting projects like Ghost and Jailer. The latter, which happens to be a Tamil project, stars none other than superstar Rajinikanth in the lead with Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Jackie Shroff, Vinayakan and many others featuring in the ensemble cast. Shiva Rajkumar, along with Malayalam stalwart Mohanlal, will play a special role in Jailer and the Kannada veteran actor has already begun shooting for his part in the film.

Recently, the Century Star, despite his busy schedule, took a break to fly back to Bengaluru for a specific reason. A special event was organized to mark the success of Vedha as well as the completion of 37 years in the industry and Shiva Rajkumar could not help but be emotional and shower praise on the entire team of the film.

"I was actually shooting with Rajini sir but with February 19th being a special day (37th anniversary), we felt that it was the perfect occasion to have this event for team Vedha. I must thank everyone for putting it together at such short notice," said Shiva Rajkumar. The same event also saw his Vedha co-stars Aditi Sagar and Ganavi Laxman, wife & producer Geetha Shiva Rajkumar, Vedha director A. Harsha and many others in attendance.
