Actress Shreema Bhattacharjee fell prey to an online scam. Recently, she shared a screenshot on her social media which showed that an alleged miscreant impersonated Shreema and asked for a favour under the excuse of the treatment of her ‘suffering’ pets.

The screenshot showed, “I am actress Shreema Bhattacharjee and I work on television. I want to talk about a project involving you. I have a pet dog named Coco. He had a companion who died and Coco went into a deep depression. I was wondering if you could give me a dog who can stay with him. I will tag you when I post their photo on social media. In that way, your work will also be recognized.”

Gaatchora actress Shreema warned everyone saying, “A new scam. Please don’t believe those words. Both Coco and Julie are fine.”

On the other hand, actor Ranojoy Bishnu also faced a fake call a few days back. On his Insta video, he said ‘I suddenly got a call from Mumbai, saying that there was a parcel in my name, containing several passports, drugs, and laptops. When I said that the parcel did not belong to me, they made contact with the cops at Andheri Police Station. I understood that something was fishy. They pretended to be an officer of the Mumbai Police and told me that if I did not download a certain app and make a video conference, I would face grave danger. I understood that it was a scam and hence promptly disconnected the call. I complained at the proper place.”

Ranojoy is currently working on Zee Bangla serial Kon Gopone Mon Bheseche. The serial streams on Zee Bangla and is also available on OTTplay Premium.
