Shruti Das embarks on her debut OTT ride

Tollywood actress Shruti Das was last seen in the serial Ranga Bou. She then worked in films, too. Now she is all set to debut on OTT. She has joined the cast of Hoichoi’s series, Daini.  

Shruti’s fans have been asking her for a long time when she would come back to television. However, they need to wait a bit more, because Shruti will now be seen in a web series that will be released soon. 

Shruti posted two selfies on Wednesday morning and wrote ‘Packup of the first venture.’ She put the hashtags #Hoichoi #newventure #actorslife. 

After Ranga Bou, Shruti got a chance in the film Amar Boss, directed by Shibiprosad and Nandita. Now, she will be seen in an important role in the Hoichoi series Daini. 

Shruti said, “The character is strong but important. It is a powerful role. People did not see me in such a role previously. I always love to work on experimental characters.” 

The photo shared by her is a selfie in a car. Shruti wore a white dress and colored beads on her hand. She wore white-framed sunglasses and nude lipstick. A netizen praised her and wrote ‘Gorgeous’. Another netizen wrote ‘Your face is so sweet!’ 

The work of Daini started in mid-June and will continue till the end of the month. Mimi Chakraborty plays the central role. Nirjhar Mitra directs the series. Nirjhar previously directed Shikarpur. 

The story is set in the backdrop of North Bengal. Tribal girls there are tagged as witches. A girl is then coincidentally involved in several accidents. The society castigates her. What happens after that? The series will tell the story. 

Shruti’s first work was Trinayani. Then she appeared in the serials Desher Mati and Ranga Bou. Now, she will appear in Amar Boss and Daini.
