Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office collection day 4: Aamir Khan's movie earns lowest so far, worse than opening day

Sitaare Zameen Par

Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par seems to have failed the Monday litmus test. Despite showing massive growth over its first weekend, the movie has now earned its lowest on first Monday. The Box Office collections are worse than opening day, too. Thus, even though the movie has managed to recover 2/3rd of its budget, it would be a long time before it enters Rs. 100 crore club.

Sitaare Zameen Par recovers 2/3rd of its budget

Sitaare Zameen Par has recovered 2/3rd of its Rs. 90 crore budget. The movie's total collection stands at Rs. 66.65 crore. The film faced a massive drop from Rs. 27.25 crore on Sunday to Rs. 8.50 crore on Monday. This goes on to prove that it would be a long time before the movie enters Rs. 100 crore club, and it might struggle after.

More competition for Sitaare Zameen Par?

Although Sitaare Zameen Par is Aamir Khan's Bollywood comeback film, the movie is likely to face competition at the Box Office. Fans of Ajay Devgn-R Madhavan-Janki Bodiwala-Jyothika's Shaitaan are likely eager to find out what's next from the Universe and to do so, they would visit theatres to watch Kajol's Maa instead. This would mean lesser footfalls for Sitaare Zameen Par coming Friday. Thus, the movie might take some time before hitting the mark of hit film and in the current scenario, superhit or blockbuster is just a distant dream for the movie directed by RS Prasanna.
