One fan said, "My question isn’t for @aamir_khan or the film. It’s for @Apple: Why am I being charged ₹179 on iPhone while it's ₹100 elsewhere? I paid extra for better hardware, not to be treated like a premium fool. A ₹79 difference for the same movie? Really? #AppleTax #SitaareZameenPar."

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh called it a debatable issue. He shared, "At one point, he said that he was looking out for the theatre people by refusing a digital release. Then suddenly, he is releasing it on YouTube in six weeks. He even made a statement, saying, ‘I’m protecting the cinema. I want the theatres to survive.’ How do you expect theatres to survive if people are going to watch it in six weeks in their home for Rs 100? It’s a bold move, but it doesn’t benefit theatres."

At the end, he also added that this logic might be for those centers where there are no theatres, but people still have access to YouTube.
