A special screening was recently held for several Tollywood directors, and the response has been very encouraging. Speaking about the film, Sandeep Raj of Colour Photo fame stated that Dhandoraa is a must-watch and a highly thought-provoking film.

Filmmaker Neelekantha, who earlier directed Missamma with Sivaji, remarked that films like this come once in a generation and that everyone should understand the message it conveys.

Meanwhile, Saailu Kaampati of Raju Weds Rambai fame said that one needs a lot of courage to make such a hard-hitting film. Dhandoraa has been directed by Muralikanth Devasoth, and the way he has portrayed caste-based issues has become a major talking point.

Sivaji’s performance as a man who harbors hatred toward people from other castes stands out as one of the film’s highlights. Navdeep, Nandu, Bindu Madhavi, and Ravi Krishna also play key roles in this low-budget production.

Amazon Prime Video has bagged the digital rights to the film for a fancy price and is expected to stream it in the second week of January 2026, according to the latest update.

At the box office, however, Dhandoraa has not performed strongly. Being a serious drama, it has not attracted large audiences, but those who have watched the film have only positive things to say about it.
