Director Sivakumar Murugesan’s debut film Thaai Kizhavi is currently running in theatres to a good response. Even before the release of Thaai Kizhavi, Sivakumar Murugesan had announced his second film, titled Seyon with actor Sivakarthikeyan. Here is what Sivakumar had to say about Seyon.

Seyon: What did director Sivakumar Murugesan say about Sivakarthikeyan’s film?

Seyon is an upcoming Tamil film which will be the next release for actor Sivakarthikeyan. The title teaser was released by the makers a few days back, and is produced by Kamal Haasan. Thaai Kizhavi director Sivakumar Murgesan is helming the project.

"The film will have stories of both the sets of people who pray to Murugan and Virumandi. It is not against anyone but will respect all deities. You will see it for yourself when the film comes out,” Seyon said while speaking to the press.

Seyon is scheduled to go on floors in March, and is slated for a theatrical release in October. With music scored by Santhosh Narayanan, Seyon will be the return for Sivakarthikeyan to the rural genre. The title glimpse has already garnered attention, with the film having shades of Kamal Haasan’s Virumandi, while also evoking symbolism of Hindu deity Murugan.

Where to watch Thaai Kizhavi on OTT?

Currently Thaai Kizhavi is playing in big screens worldwide. However, after its theatrical run, Thaai Kizhavi will make its OTT debut on JioHotstar. Subscribers of OTTplay Premium can also watch the film. Tentatively, Thaai Kizhavi is expected to release on OTT sometime in March end.

Thaai Kizhavi is headlined by Radikaa Sarathkumar who plays Pavunthaayi, an elderly independent woman living in Madurai. After she falls sick and bedridden, her three sons come running to know the whereabouts about the treasure she only knows. The film opened to excellent reviews upon release and collected Rs 10 crore so far over the weekend.
