We had earlier reported that Sivakarthikeyan will be collaborating with veteran filmmaker AR Murugadoss for SK 23. On Monday, February 17, on the occasion of the actor’s birthday, the makers dropped a major update about the film. The title teaser was unveiled. Yes, SK 23 will now be called Madharasi.
Sivakarthikeyan and AR Murugadoss' film is called Madharasi
Actor Sivakarthikeyan, who was last seen in Amaran, is working on multiple projects, and one of them is SK 23. The film is helmed by AR Murugadoss in his first collaboration with the actor. The title of the film is Madharasi.
The title teaser is power-packed and confirms that it is an action thriller. We see bomb blasts taking place, plenty of action sequences, and glimpses of various characters from the cast list. As we see Sivakarthikeyan in a rugged avatar. It will be released as Madharasi in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, while it will be called Dil Madharasi in Hindi.
The upcoming project is bankrolled by the production banner Sri Lakshmi Movies. Expected to be an action thriller, it will have Kannada actor Rukmini Vasanth play the female lead, marking her debut in the Tamil film industry. Other part of the cast include Vidyut Jammwal, who had paired up with Murugadoss in Thuppaki, and will be returning as the antagonist of the film, Vikranth, Biju Menon, and Shabeer Kallarakkal among others. Madhrasi will have music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film will be shot by Sudeep Elamon and Sreekar Prasad will be handling the edits. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.
Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming line-up
Sivakarthikeyan also has another film, titled Parasakthi. The film is directed by Sudha Kongara, and also stars Atharvaa, Sreleela, and Ravi Mohan in prominent roles. A release date for the film is yet to be announced. Sivakarthikeyan is also expected to join hands with Don filmmaker Cibi Chakravarthy.
