Sona Moni Saha and Saptarshi Moulik team up for Leena Gangopadhyay’s Ekka Dokka

The mega serial will also mark the comeback show for Aparajita Ghosh Das.

After years of successfully playing the titular character of Mohor with her rumoured beau Pratik Sen, Sona Moni Saha is all geared up to be back on TV. The actress has teamed up with Saptarshi Moulik for the brand new show of Leena Gangopadhyay for Star Jalsha. Saptarshi has worked in Shreemoyee as Indrani Halder’s son. The channel released the promo of Ekka Dokka recently.

In the first promo, Saptarshi, aka Pokhraj, and Sona Moni, aka Radhika, come from two arch-rival families, Sen and Majumder respectively. Both of them are medical students in the same institution. Pokhraj and Radhika are competitive and both of them want to beat each other. In fact, Pokhraj’s family members, including his mother Pushpita Mukhopadhyay and grandmother Anashua Majumder, insist on him beating her for the sake of the three-generation-long family rivalry. As it seems, Pokhraj’s family runs a hospital-cum-medical college, where both of them study. While Aparajita Ghosh Das is seen as Sona Moni’s sister, Chandan Sen is their father. The promo hints at a love story blooming between the two, despite their rivalry.

The serial will also mark a comeback project for Aparajita on TV. She was last seen in Kusum Dola which ended in 2018 after a two-year run. The show also features Rishi Kaushik and Madhumita Sarcar.

Sona Moni’s last show, Mohor, had a successful run for almost three years. In the serial, the actress paired up with popular TV actor Pratik Sen. Later, it was speculated that the two started courting each other during the show. While both of them remained tightlipped about their relationship status, Pratik has also started a new TV serial Shaheber Chithi with Debchandrima Singha Roy. in the serial, Pratik plays the character of a rockstar who loses his leg in an accident. Debchandrima, on the other hand, plays the character of a postwoman.
