The thriller anime series, Spy x Family, is gearing up for the release of its second season. The makers of the show recently took to Twitter and released two posters showcasing the ‘cool’ and ‘comical’ side of the Forger family, confirming the release of its second Season. In addition to Season 2, the makers will also premiere its first film in Japan with the title Spy x Family Code: White on December 22.

Though no official release date has been announced, fans speculate that the second season will premiere in the fall of 2023. Based on Tatsuya Endo's manga series of the same name, the anime series follows ‘Twilight’, a spy who is on a mission to gather intelligence information on politician Donovan Desmond. To succeed at his mission, he takes the help of hall clerk, Yor Briar and orphan orphan, Anya, and together they disguise themselves as Forger family.

It is co-produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks. The series won the Anime of the Year Award at the 2023 Tokyo Anime Award Festival (TAAF). The success of its debut season in 2022 also resulted in an increase in sales of the original manga series.

Directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi Spy x Family Season 1 is currently streaming on Crunchyroll in multiple languages including Japanese, English, German, French and more. Japanese voice artists, Atsumi Tanezaki, Saori Hayami and Takuya Eguchi have lent their voices to characters of Anya Forger, Yor Briar and Loid “Twilight” Forger respectively.
