Sreelekha Mitra is known to voice her opinion on social media. On Sunday, she took to her Facebook and mocked some of the Tollywood actors and actresses’ alleged links with the ongoing SSC scams.

Actor Bonny Sengupta has been in the headlines for the last few days due to his alleged connection with the case of appointment corruption. After facing ED’s interrogation, the actor told the media that he received Rs 40 lakh from Kuntal Ghose, who was arrested in this case. The money was used to buy a high-end car. ED has interrogated Bonny regarding this.

Producer Rana Sarkar previously made taunts regarding this incident. Now Sreelekha Mitra also alluded to this in her post. She sarcastically wrote on Facebook, “I was never called by ED or CBI. Rose Valley to Kuntal… what did I do! Shame on me!' She also mentioned that she has been using her old car for many years. She also added, “And I hope to get a financer/producer for the next film! I protest!”

Anandabazar Online contacted Sreelekha, who said, “I could not raise my level. Everybody knows how much remuneration we can get doing a Bengali film. You ride a precious car, you are called by ED or CBI, and it remains to see whether you can cover it up using your connection. That is the trend now. Many people stay silent even after watching these. Sreelekha does not open her mouth without reason. She says because there are reasons.”

However, she also said that she does not aim to personally attack anyone. The actress asked, “I speak against the rotten society. Why will work not be based on quality here?”

Recently, many celebs chose social media for protest. Sreelekha commented, “Those who are protesting now do that only on certain occasions. But they will not comment on anything regarding these incidents. I can not stay silent, because I have my conscience as a human being.”
