Stranger Things 4: Before meeting the nerds for a new season, here’s a look back at what went down in season 3

The nerd gang is gearing to make a comeback onto screens yet again, promising to delve deeper into the secrets of the Upside Down. For diehard fans, Stranger Things 4 can't seem to come soon enough, with the popular show’s last season airing almost three years ago. Before joining Eleven and the gang yet again for another adventure, here’s a recap of what went down last season.

The makers unveiled a new video recently, that revisits the gang’s adventures in season 3. Eleven and Mike’s blooming romance are the cause of frustration for their friends and family, especially Hopper. As the new Starcourt Mall opens up, the gang gets a new hangout spot, and Robin Buckley(Maya Hawke) makes her acquaintance with the gang. But something sinister threatens to disrupt their reverie, as a Soviet lab starts to conduct experiments to do with the Upside Down. Their actions risk unleashing new horrors from the alternate dimension. The gang is also seen having to cope with some significant losses they had to go through last season as well.
